Janata Dal (United) President Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is uniting the opposition for the upcoming 2024 general elections. Lallan Singh addressed the reporters after the party’s National Council meeting on Saturday.

The party’s National Council meeting was presided over by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The meeting took place two days after the party candidate lost from the Kudhani assembly seat, the result of which was declared on 8 December. Lallan Singh said, the Government of India is also appreciating the work of Nitish Kumar. He is an amazing person. Lok Sabha MP from Munger, Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh was elected JDU’s national president for the second consecutive time on Monday. Lalan Singh had filed his nomination papers for the post of the party’s national president before the returning officer and Rajya Sabha member Anil Hegde on Saturday.

JDU workers from all the states of the country participated in the meeting of the National Council. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that there will be an open session on Sunday. The CM said that the preparations for Mission 2024 have been intensified. Bharatiya Janata Party won the Kudhani assembly seat by defeating JDU by 3,645 votes. BJP’s Kedar Prasad Gupta won the bypoll by securing 76,722 votes, while JDU’s Manoj Kushwaha Singh got 73,073 votes.
